Emma Ríos, Paco Roca, Manuela Pertega, Javi de Castro, Gabriel H. Walta, Salvador Larroca, Miquel Muerto y la colombiana Lorena Álvarez, en la lista de nominados a los Premios Eisner de cómic

A pesar de la cancelación del encuentro internacional San Diego Comic Con los organizadores han mantenido la concesión de los Premios Eisner, tal vez los más importantes de cuantos se conceden en la industria del cómic a nivel mundial. La lista de completa de nominados trae, un año más, excelentes noticias para los creadores españoles y latinoamericanos con la presencia de Emma Ríos, Paco Roca, Manuela Pertega, Javi de Castro, Gabriel H. Walta, Salvador Larroca, Miquel Muerto y la colombiana Lorena Álvarez.
 
IDW e Image Comics lideran el grupo de editores con más nominaciones, junto a Fantagraphics (responsable de la publicación de La Casa, de Paco Roca, en territorio norteamericano); y Dark Horse. En lo que se refiere a los autores, James Stokoe recibe cinco nominaciones, y otros nombres bien conocidos por las versiones que hemos podido leer en España de sus obras, como Stan Sakai o Mariko Tamaki, optan a tres.
 
El jurado de este año está compuesto por Alec Grecian, las periodistas Martha Cornog, Jamie Coville y Simon Jiménez, el académico Michael Dooley y Laura O'Meara. La votación en línea para los Eisners que pueden ser elegidos por este método, estará abierta hasta el 18 de junio, y los resultados se anunciarán en julio.
 
También se citan a numerosos autoras/es de los que hemos hablado en los últimos meses en Canal Lector, como Emil Ferris, Raina Telgemeier, la citada Mariko Tamaki y Rosemary Valero-O'Connell, Olivier Bouquet y Julie Rocheleau, Tillie Walden o los "clásicos" Stan Sakai, Marguerite Abouet, Seth, Chris Ware y Lewis Trondheim, entre otros.
